With the weekend fast approaching I thought I would quickly summarise where we can expect to see the wonderful liveries of Team Buschfink Racing lining up over the weekend…. And to be honest, it’s a good excuse to show a few pics of our glorious paint :o)
First up is the iRacing Pro Quali races. Running Saturday at 09.00 and 19.00 and 17.00 on Sunday at the stop-start-stop-start and yet surprisingly tricky Motegi in Japan. Our remaining ProQ team consisting of, or at least combinations of – Barry “No Weight” Morrison, Tyler “How early!!” Hervais, Dan “Pro Streamer” Sosulski and “Teacher” Tim Greven will be running the Porsche RSR GTE, although Dan might actually be benched for this round as he keeps getting lost!
Currently sitting in 41st position after 3 rounds the guys are approx. 70 points behind the cut-off (on corrected points) for Pro with 3 rounds remaining, so a good result at this un-favored track is crucial to allow the previous round at Brands (which didn’t work out quite as hoped) to be used as the drop round.
Also running on Saturday afternoon/evening is the 5th round of the NEO Endurance feeder series, DGFX. The 4hr race this weekend is to take place on the ever popular Road Atlanta in the US and this time will be tackled by DGFX regular Andreas “Lounge Rig” Olsson and Team Manager – Fraser “Douch Canoe” Williamson. With qualifying kicking off at 15.20 and the 4hr main race starting at 16.00, this track is a personal favourite of both drivers so we can expect a good result from TBR Greens Ferrari 488 GTE. Sitting in 14th place in the GTE Pro category after a DNF at Monza in the last round, TBR is just 10 points behind a top ten position with only the 10hr Nurburgring round remaining.
Finally for this weekend, Sunday afternoon will see 3 TBR cars running in the Sports Car Open Endurance series for 4 hours at the wonderful twisting undulations of the Interlagos circuit in Brazil.
In the LMP1 we have TBR Blue, this week driven by Tom “Runescape” Michelmore and Matt “What Black Flag” Farrow. Currently sitting in 2nd position in the standings but just 2 points ahead of 3rd, every point counts for the remaining 2 rounds of the series.
In PC (HPD) we have TBR Yellow this week piloted by Fraser “no crack pliz” Williamson and someone else…. Sat in 7th spot in the standings after 4 rounds, a top 5 overall is easily within reach just 2 points ahead, however dropping out of the top 10 is just 6 points behind! Again, everything still to play for in the last 2 rounds.
Finally, in GTE we have Joris “NO NDA” Thielen and Dan “Daen” Sosulski in the Porsche RSR GTE. With the first 4 rounds not having gone the way they had hoped, the guys will be going out to enjoy the race and hope for a decent result, especially given the results at last Mondays AOR race on the same track where Joris and Dan finished 4th and 5th respectively.
So as you can see, along with the usual official races and obviously the IRL Bathurst 12hr starting on Saturday at 15.45gmt, its a busy weekend for the team and one which hopefully will make it a busy Monday for whoever writes this crap…. ;o)
