Round 12 of the iRacing Official ILMS Season, broadcast on Racespot, was held at Sebring this last Friday and with 4 TBR drivers starting in the GTE field, the chances of a decent showing were high.
Antti Ahola had this to say about his race:
“I took POLE in GTE class! Had a bit of a moment at the end of the 1st lap and Yannick was able to get past me. I was able to stick behind him until the traffic hit and every time l got overtaken, l lost a lot of time and Yannick was able to pull away. Our pace was quite similar overall but at the very end l was catching him but traffic and some mistakes from myself cost me the win”
The result gave Antti enough irating to crack the 6k mark, which after just a year on the service is pretty bloody impressive (even for a Finn!)
Other TBR drivers were:
Alex Simonic – Started 7th, finished 5th after a fairly uneventful race.
Scott Brazier – Started 10th, DNF due to “Scott issues…”
Barry Morrison – Started 14th, had a great race climbing up to a 6th place finish.
